  • The Palm jaggery that comes in blocks should always be kept in airtight containers or bags. Minimum contact with moisture and air should allowed. 
  • The jaggery gets crushed very easily. You will be able to crush medium size pieces of this jaggery even with your fingers.
  • If you consume a piece of normal cane jaggery after meals, you can easily replace it with a piece of palm jaggery.

  • Use this jaggery the same way you use Cane jaggery or sugar in sweets, beverages and curries. 
  • If you want to use this jaggery in a hot milk beverage, add the jaggery once the beverage is off the heat. That way the beverage won't split.
  • If you are using it in a curry, crush the jaggery with your fingers while adding it to the curry.

  • Liquid palm jaggery should be always kept in airtight containers. Once opened, this jaggery should be kept in the fridge.
  • Always use a clean and dry spoon to remove the jaggery from the container.
